On Thursday, October 13, 2022 I'll be giving a short talk on the history of South Carolina barbecue for the Palladium's 18th annual Bluegrass, Bidding, & BBQ silent auction in Columbia, SC.
The event is held on the grounds of the Hampton Preston Mansion and Gardens and features live bluegrass, barbecue by Smokey Loggins, and an open bar with specialty cocktails. Up for bid at the silent auction are destination packages to historic cities across the Southeast and for exploring local cultural sites, behind-the-scenes tours of Columbia's hot spots, gift cards to restaurants, boutiques, gyms, and much more.
