Buxton Books Talk - Part 2

Tuesday, Sep 27, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Mark your calendars for September 27th for the second part of my talk on Charleston fine dining history, which tells the story of Charleston restaurants from the 1890s straight through until today.
In June I gave a talk at Buxton Books in downtown Charleston that drew upon material from my newest book The Lost Southern Chefs: A History of Commercial Dining in the Nineteenth-Century South and told the story of restaurant dining in Charleston from the 1820s straight through about the end of the 19th century. There simply wasn't enough time to carry the narrative through the 20th century to today, so that's why I'm coming back in September to tell the rest of the story.

Tickets for the event are $10, but admission is FREE if you buy a copy of the book. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
